Spread the word about the organization and its search for a venue. Whether it is an existing retreat house, an abandoned convent, school, a campground with cabins, Bed & Breakfast, or simply vacant land our property search committee will be glad to visit.
Discuss with your church what the retreat house could be for them and that now would be a great time to be involved. Obviously any gifts are welcome, and there are even creative ways to sponsor this endeavor.
Room sponsors – when the time comes, people are going to donate their time and resources to furnish a guest room the way that they would like it. This can be done for the individual suite-like guest rooms or the director rooms available for retreat leaders; these will be a little nicer than the standard rooms.
Memorialize lost loved ones by donating a tree to be planted on the grounds with a brass plate bearing their name. The donation would cover the cost of tree and maintenance. This is an excellent way to help the Joshua House and honor a loved one while providing a place to visit in a quiet setting, our Memorial Forest.
