I’d like to thank you for your generous support of the Joshua House. Since 2008, with the generosity of family, friends and God’s blessing, the Joshua House has been able to connect people in need to food, clothing, housing, medical care, and clean water. These necessities were provided simply as a sign of God’s love to thousands in Haiti and Pittsburgh. We are humbled by the support and continually amazed at what God can do when willing people come together to serve.

In all those years, I have never witnessed a greater need: hunger is currently a pressing issue in Haiti. I have visited and been made aware of 1,800 school children who are starving in the northern Haiti towns of Cap-Haitien, Bas-limbe, Dubre, Robillard and Cardouch.  The Joshua House has been part of an effort to feed these five churches monthly since November but that is not enough so we are launching an urgent project simply called “Emergency Food for Northern Haiti.

For many kids in Haiti, their lunchtime meal is the only food they will have that day. These five churches currently don’t have access to food. We are asking you to contribute toward the $34,000 cost to provide 100,000 meals at a cost of $.34 a meal to these students in northern Haiti.

Please consider a donation in one of the following amounts:

  • 10 meals $ 3.40
  • 50 meals $ 17
  • 100 meals $ 34
  • 250 meals $ 85
  • 1000 meals $ 340
  • Other Amount _____

The Joshua House has already partnering with “Convoy of Hope” and “The Outreach Program” in order to secure the meals and make arrangements to be delivered to a secure warehouse in Haiti. Joshua House staff pick up the meals and deliver them to the kids. This food shipment will feed them for these next three critical months.

Your generous donations will go directly to offset the purchase the food and delivery costs. I’m asking for your help in this important project and I thank you in advance for prayerfully considering how you can support us. With your support we can meet a very basic need for some of the world’s poorest children.

Thanks again.  I will keep you posted on this project.
